About Me

I am a self-taught artist in Brecksville OH primarily influenced by styles of the  mid century abstract painters from  New  York  and the current German painter Gerhard Richter.   Each piece is an  inspired,  one of a kind,  hand  painted  original.    

Abstract Expressionism is about the intention with  which I approach the canvas  and the process of achieving  an  expression  of  that  intent.    It’s mostly surrendering  and  trusting  the  process.    I  often  work  quickly with  paints that   are  still  wet      

I aim for compositional balance and consistency of palette.    A  painting  with  fascinating  detail up  close  yet captivating to  view  as  a  whole.   I  hope  to  spark  a  feeling or  an  emotion  in  the  viewer,  to  make  a  connection.
